Biografy Julia Kaergel

When I was a child, I wanted to be first astronaut, polar explorer and later be dressmaker, to go to the theater. But it was different. I became an artist.
I love Hamburg and had my studio for 10 years in a former Margarinefabrik, nearby  the Freihafen. Since 2008 I live in the countryside, just outside Hamburg, in a small town in Schleswig-Holstein, near a beautiful lake. Here I paint and draw and develop different book projects, images for animated films or computer games. Also, I'm happy to travel. Especially when I'm working together with artists in my workshops around the world and when I can also explore the world.
